Fall Out Boy

I just wanted to talk about one of my favorite bands. Fall Out Boy. I always had Fall Out Boy in the back of my head but Fall Out Boy really came in to my life in December 2008. I was sitting around watching MTV and then I saw the music video for I Don't Care. Their hit single from Folie A Deux. Not only was the music video pretty funny. The bass and the electric guitar had some pretty cool solos. Patrick's voice was different. But it was different in a good way. In a way that I could listen to it again and again and hear something different. The drums were... drums. Andy (the person who plays the drum) didn't have too many solos. He played but it was different. The way he played the drums was different. It wasn't the 'We Will Rock You' beat. It was a beat that you couldn't get from the first time you hear it. At least for me. The first time I ever really heard Fall Out Boy was in the back of a car listening to the radio. Thnks Fr Th Mmrs was on and I just thought what's this? I never took it in to consideration, never thought of looking them up. Once I saw that music video I went Fall Out Boy savvy. I was looking them up on Youtube, watching interviews, listening to songs, song covers that they did. As I kept on listening to Fall Out Boy I learned a lot more about the members of the band. Constantly looking them up on Wikipedia to find their discography and trying to hear some stuff on Fall Out Boy's Evening Out With Your Girlfriend. Which I hear was pretty good. When a friend of mine got Folie A Duex for my birthday, I was excited to wake up each day and hear Coffee's For Closers and Disloyal Order of The Water Buffalos and The (Shipped) Gold Standard. Soon I knew the words to every song on that album. After listening to Folie A Deux for such a long time, I started going backwards. Then I was in love with Infinity on High and From Under The Cork Tree, Then Take This To Your Grave. Truthfully I don't have a favorite. I liked a little bit of everything from each these albums. Fall Out Boy is different, different enough to have a place in the music world.
